Budget Crafting for Kiddos

Recently, I took Mia to Jo-Ann Fabrics for the first time and she was quite overwhelmed by all the crafty goodness going on in that store. We were looking for 2 simple projects she could make for both of her Papa’s for Father’s day. After much deliberating she finally decided on a little ceramic bear for one and a little decorative birdhouse for the other. We grabbed two different acrylic paint strips to paint them with and the grand total for everything was $4. She had a blast painting them and she got a lot of happiness out of giving the finished presents. She is pretty good at wielding a paint brush and I really only helped her with figuring out what colors to put where and I did a tiny touch up on the bears face for her. All in all, it was a great cheap project to keep her occupied for an afternoon.
